Waynetown - Mrs. Ruth E. Haas, 69, a native of Montgomery County, died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at her home in Waynetown. She had been in failing health for a number of years. Born Nov 4, 1883, near Waynetown, Mrs. Haas was the daughter of Warren and Addie Fowler Mitchell. She married Elmer Haas Feb 22, 1905. The marriage took place at Mrs. Haas' home, northeast of Waynetown. Mrs. Haas was a member of the Mellott Congregational Christian Church. Surviving are the husband; a son, Austin Haas RFD 2, Waynetown a daughter, Mrs. Dorman Smith deputy treasurer of Montgomery County; four sisters, Mrs. Claude Sinkey, Six Lakes, Mich; Mrs. Arthur Rice, also of Six Lakes,and Mrs. Harold Bell and Mrs. Alton Mount both of Flint, Mich; a brother, Ray Mitchell, Hibberton, Mich; and two grandhcildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Grenard & Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown. Burial at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery, Rev. Guy Walters of Mellot will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home.
